How do I get sorted into a house?

Just go to the Groups section, select the house you want and join the group. You'll have to wait for the Head of House to approve your membership, but as long as you have more than zero forum posts you're in like Flynn.

How do I earn house points?

By making forum posts or content reviews that are totally awesome. House points are completely up to the discretion of the Diagon Alley staff, just like at Hogwarts. We're constantly on the lookout for posts to award points for.

How do I get a custom rank under my name?

You need 20 points to get a custom rank. After you have 20 points, send a private message to our rankmaster, Susy, and she'll hook you up.

You can also get a custom rank through the secret backdoor by playing Susy's game, though we can't recommend it.

How do I get a custom image under my name?

You need 50 points to get a custom image. After you have 50 points, send a private message to our rankmaster, Susy, and she'll put it in for you. But, you have to send her the image! It has to be 20 pixels tall by 100 pixels wide max.

If you can't create your own image, ask Sarah or Dayna, but we can't promise it'll be pretty. :P

How long has this site been around, anyway?

Since 2000, when it was founded by Ali Wildgoose on ezBoard.

How do I chat in the chat room?

The chat room requires the Flash plugin for your browser. It's available free at Macromedia.
